The unidentifiable beauty of a self-castigating herd.
There’s a Dutch saying; “A donkey doesn’t bump twice against the same rock”. It's supposed to say that you just won’t make the same mistake twice, once you’ve learned the consequences after the first time. But during the last decades of increasing the chances for a good education, wannabee leaders whose lies are taken for the truth as if it were the bets during a game of poker, media in the hands of big corporations with their own agenda and often related to exactly those populist politicians that for one reason or the other are on a war against the average citizen. Feeding the herd of badly informed, daily struggling for food and shelter, far to uneducated population of people who can’t even concentrate long enough to really read a political pamphlet, let alone a complete document, with only false one-liners and fast speeches on who are to blame for the mess they’re in. And so, when it comes to vote new leaders it’s like worshipping the rock that was the reason for the pain after the first bump.
The profession of a politician is reduced to being a mouthpiece for the rich and powerful, parliamentary puppets controlled by lobbyists, voting-cattle in the bodice of central controlled political parties. Facts and experts research aren’t considered to be of any importance, mainly because they are a counterpart of the interests of that one percent on top of the pyramid that pull the strings. And no, it’s not that there are no people who are trying to change things, but rules are bend in such a way that the ones with a bit of idealism and hounest interest in the well being of the mass are decelerated by lies, bribes and manipulated voting systems. The money always wins and when not, well, there is no “when not”. No matter how much people are suffering, it seems they are easily convinced to run to the master that punishes and kicks them, by empty promises and rhetoric statements. Thomas Jefferson said; “Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the gouvernment but illegal for the citizenry”. And it seems that nowadays there’s an ocean of difference between politicians and the facts of a normal and safe life on this planet.
History reveals the truth, but only after all the bad and injustice is done and mostly much too late to turn back the clock because it stays hidden in thick faults full of inculpatory paperwork and documents. Bush, Blair and Rutte, to name a few, are war criminals, slowly the facts are getting clear. The Goldman Sachs and other crooked bankers of this world are plain criminals, but only in a small independent country as Island, there was enough bravery to treat them as such. In the “Clinton Email Files”, we learn that the USA was happy with the fact that the former Dutch gouvernment was held hostage by an ultra-right wing racist. They seem to support any event that destabilizes European countries and by that the European Union. Politics is not about what we see on TV or read in the papers, it’s about that whole system of hidden agencies, hidden deals and manipulation of political processes when there’s an “out of control” politician gaining some popularity and becomes a danger to the old goners and old bitches network, protecting the rich elite.
And so the people got what they have seemed to vote for. Clinton or Trump, Wilders or Rutte, Merkel and more. Professional cowards as Cameron, Johnson and Farage. An America with, racist, self-declared homophobic and women hating Christians, the UK running back to the ages of a feudal system, European countries where ultra-nationalists gain power and support, driving society back to the days when all evil started. And these are only the so-called “western democratic” states, forgetting about the rest of the world where things often are worse. There are other options though. Bernie Sanders, Mariana Mortágua, Emiel Roemer, Natalie Bennett, Katrin Göring-Eckardt, Jeremy Corbyn to name a few… but they are pictured as “lunatics, lefty’s, dangerous, economic disasters and followers of unrealistic facts produced by scientists, economic and social experts by the media, owned by.. well the people who we were talking in the first place. There’s so much unidentifiable beauty in the votes of a self-castigating herd that doesn’t want things to change for the better because what’s more rewarding than being the victim of your own decisions and blame “the all those others” for it.
